The School Day

The school gates open at 8:50 a.m. for children to come into the school and make their way to classrooms. Lessons start at 9:00 a.m.  It is very important that children are punctual as lessons begin promptly and being late will mean that they miss the beginning of their lesson.

Children who go home to dinner should not return to school until five minutes before the start of the afternoon session.

At the end of the day Foundation Stage and classes 1 and 1 /2 will stay in their classes until parents come to collect them.  We will not let children go home with adults that we do not recognise.  If, in an emergency, someone else is collecting your child please make sure that either the teacher or the office is informed. If you want and older brother or sister in the school to collect them then you must inform the head teacher.

KS2 pupils and class 2 will be brought by their teachers to the playground.  We ask parents to wait in the playground rather than outside the classrooms.

If your child usually goes home on a bus and you want to collect them from school, then the school needs to know as soon as possible to inform the bus escort.
