The pupils at Canon Barnett performed a piece of poetry that they have been learning this week. Years 1 and 2 performed 'When I was 6' by AA Milne. Years 3 and 4 performed 'Please Mrs Butler' by Allan Ahlberg and Years 5 and 6 performed 'Matilta who told lies and was burned to death' by Hilaire Belloc. As a school we are focusiing on Oracy in the classroom this year, what a great way to start the term!
